Which is my best option I have lost everything except my home in a scam by my relations been to court and lost . I am now on ssi of 490 a month with thousands in debt and everyone wants to help if i can only pay them, but i can't i have a home equity loan with chase and am 2 months behind do i take out bankrupsy, or see if chase will except less a short sale, rent it out and keep the rent till chase can forclose which my lawyer sayes can take up to three years. the home is in bad shape needs roof redone rooms finished, outside painted, i also owe 3 years back taxes
