Should I consider legal action for a different severance package. I was a 32 year employee with YRC formerly Yellow Transportation. I was their VP Transportation/Operations. 10 days ago my position was eliminated. Recently the company restated their severance packages to be 12 weeks. Which is exactly what I received. In the past 18 months other displaced VP's received much better packages. I was under no contract. Do I have a case to try to receive a better severance package. One thing to consider is the financial shape of the company. YRC is continually fighting to stay out of bankruptcy court. Thank you for your advice and consideration. |
