Divorced dealing with exhusbands credit history

I just received a letter from my home insurance company stating my credit report says I have a number of adverse public records, thru TransUnion LLC. After divorcing I contacted Transunion letting them know that he filed bankrupsy not me. I then purchased a condo. I have never had any bills that were not paid on time. I called my insurance company, they want to increase my home insurance because just after my divorce in 1999, my exhusband filed bankrupsy. The other problems is before I divorced him we had three liens on our property. They were satisfied before I divorced him. Is there a law that states the insurance agency cannot hold me accountable for what was done by him or before I divorced him?

You are entitled to a 100 word explanation in your credit report for potential credit issuers to read. It is up to them whether it sways their decision to issue credit or not. .......... thats all I know on that one.
