Can I get my money back? Hi, I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy on my credit card debt and opted to reaffirm my mortage, 2nd mortgage, vehicle and horse trailer. Ever since my 2nd mortgage company (select Portfolio servicing) has been sending me these statements that say "not an attempt to collect a debt" when I called and asked them why, they told me it was because i had filed bnkrpt. but that i still had to pay or they would forclose...so i have for the past 4 years been paying them 400.00 a month without fail. I recently applied to refinance my 1st and 2nd mortgages and all of the lenders that responded say i don't owe a 2nd mortgage..that it was discharged. I went to the court house to check for liens on the property and they don't have one. So it appears that i have been paying a debt that was already paid, also my bankruptcy attorney died a year after my case was discharged. Can I get my money back? please help

I know student loans are rarely discharched in bankruptcy unless it would cause undo hardship to repay or if the loan went into default 7 years prior to filing for bankruptcy, both of which apply to me.
