Are you certified to help me with a bankruptcy for my business in Florida although I have relocated to Hemet California. The business was incorporated I had a buisness in Florida but left it because of health issues and the corporation was not making any money to pay employee's or bills. I have since relocated to California and need to get information on bankruptcy law as the lessor of the premises I occupied are suing me. Can you please let me know if you deal in corporate Law. |

I owned a business in Largo Florida, it was an Adult Day Training Program for persons with disabilities. I was in business for one year and 3 months (January 2007 until March 7th, 2008). I signed a lease for the premises for 3 years starting in October 2007. The landlord now wants over $48,000 for the rest of the lease. I closed the business because I was not able to meet my bills and payroll with the salaries I was getting for each person served. I have over $14,000 on business credit card that I cannot afford to pay either. I wondered if there is a way I can declare bankruptcy since the leasing agents are suing me, I do not have a job, I just relocated to California due to health issues because of the humid weather in Florida.

I know student loans are rarely discharched in bankruptcy unless it would cause undo hardship to repay or if the loan went into default 7 years prior to filing for bankruptcy, both of which apply to me.
